What Makes Our Wood Shutters Unique?
- Slat sizes. Since no two
windows are alike, our custom wood shutters are made to order in
varying louver widths, horizontal or vertical louvers and in a wide
variety of specialty shapes for perfect performance and fit.
Plantation shutters are known for their larger louvers, ranging in
size from 2 ½" and 4 ½" wide. Traditional shutters generally offer
slimmer ¾" thick shutter panels with smaller, 1 ¼" wide louvers.

- Color. We offer over 50
standard colors of stains, paints or colors in a lustrous finish.
Want your louvers to match your furniture perfectly? Custom color
matching is available.
- Motorized shutters. Marquis™
Custom Shutters by Lafayette are available with Louver Mover®, a
patented one-touch control system that allows you to move all the
louvers in unison without an unsightly tilt rod to obstruct your
view.
- Hidden tilt rods. You can
choose a hidden tilt rod where a small metal bar is used to operate
louvers.
